Welcome message from Allan
What's in it for me? This is the question I have to answer every time I tell people how they could benefit from Toastmasters. I tell them what I get from Toastmasters, I tell them what my friends get from Toastmasters, but before they join I need to tell them what they can get from Toastmasters.
My job is easy because everyone could benefit from Toastmasters. Want to find a better job? Get a promotion? Do well in school? Speak up at community meetings? Give a memorable toast at a wedding? Grow into the leader you know you can be? Anyone who answers yes to one or more of these questions could benefit from Toastmasters.
This year we'll all have many chances to share the benefits of Toastmaster with our friends, co-workers, and neighbors. When they ask "what's in it for me?" be sure to tell them your own story. I guarantee that there will be as much in it for you as for them.
As your Lt. Governor Marketing, I'll give you lots of opportunities to share the benefits of Toastmasters. I'll make sure that there's plenty in it for you.
Let's make it happen together.
