A panel of judges will be convened to go over your entries and give you feedback.  Awards will be announced and presented at the Spring Convention on May 17th, 2008.

Toastmasters – Not Just For Speaking Anymore:  If you met your spouse or significant other through Toastmasters, please send me your story.  Tell me how you met, where you met and how long you have been together.  I am preparing an article for February release letting some of the local papers know that Toastmasters is not just for speaking anymore – it is a great place to meet outstanding people as well!

Testimonials:  By now you should have been around long enough to know whether Toastmasters has helped you in some way.  Please go to the link for testimonials and add your story.  So far, it’s just Joan, Alan and I who have shared our gratitude for an organization which has clearly enhanced each of our lives.

That’s all for now, but please check back for more later.

Do you have a company newsletter or flyer and just want to add a short excerpt about Toastmasters?  Try adding something like the following to catch someone’s eye:

TOASTMASTERS – WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

Confident, charismatic leaders weren’t born that way.  In Toastmasters you will learn to effectively formulate, express and sell your ideas to others.  You will be more persuasive and confident when giving presentations.  You will become a better negotiator, gain trust, and sharpen your management skills. Learn how to inspire your team, be decisive.  Want that promotion?  Do you have a fear of job interviews?  Learn to think on your feet and be able to answer those tough questions without hesitation.  Or maybe you just want to get over your fear of speaking in front of people?  Let us help.  A Toastmaster club meets near you.  Just go to the www.d6tm.org webpage and click on Find a Club.
