Fall Conference 2010 - Speech Contests

The Fall Speech Contest District Finals are held at the District 6 Fall Conference. Winners from the District's ten Divisions will compete in two different contests- TABLE TOPICS and the HUMOROUS SPEECH contest. Friday Night: Table Topics Contest

Friday night's Toastmaster was Faye Heffele. She asked each of the contestants the same question, "If you knew then what you know now, what would you do differently?"

There are two Separate contests and an individual may compete in both.

HUMOROUS SPEECH (5 to 7 minutes) - To recognize the value of humor in speaking.
TABLE TOPICS CONTEST (2 minutes) - To encourage development of impromptu and/or extemporaneous speaking skills.

Each Toastmaster club has their own contest or selection process to choose a representative from the club. Winners advance through the organizational structure of clubs in four steps of a tournament (Club - Area - Division - District 6). The finals are at the District 6 Toastmasters 2010 Fall Conference at the Mankato City Center Hotel, Mankato, Minnesota on October 22 & 23.
