Description Learn great ideas to create a strong club. How to keep existing members through such things as a strong mentoring program within a club and giving supportive and motivating evaluations. Recruiting new members - why recruiting new members is important and ways to recruit new members
Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin can be used to promote Toastmasters. Learn the importance of an overall public relations plan and how social media will support it.
  • Communicate and build community within your club
  • Promote yourself while promoting your Club using Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin
  • “Pay it forward” to build social capital online

When confronted with a problem or challenge, are you ever surprised by how you react or wish you could respond differently? Do you ever assume that you know the facts of a situation, only to find out later that you misinterpreted them? This session will teach you to “listen” to your thoughts, to identify what you say to yourself when faced with a challenge, and to understand how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviors. If the thoughts running through your head when you are faced with adversity are inaccurate, your ability to respond effectively to that adversity will be severely compromised.

Description Ok, ok….who likes to sell anything? After this seminar you will be inspired to work on the skills you have had in development for years! Both seminar presenters have loads of experience in sales skills that you can apply to building membership in your club. The icing on the cake will be using the same skills to sell anything to anyone.
This session will cover what makes a high impact PowerPoint presentation (or using any presentation tool) and the skills to use to give them punch and pizzazz, while avoiding the pitfalls that can detract from your message. It will focus on the content of presentations and not how to build or edit them.
This is a role play workshop that shows how the Toastmasters club mission can be used to handle a series of conflict situations that have actually occurred in the past. The values asserted by the mission will be used to show how the conflicts could be resolved.
