Spring Convention 2012 - Awards

In Toastmasters, we love to give awards to those who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills. Awards to be presented at the Spring Convention include the following:

  • C & L Award - This award is presented annually to a non-Toastmaster who has made significant contributions in his or her community, modeling effective communication and leadership skills. Nominations are due by February 29th and should be submitted to C & L Chair Anne Groetsch. With your submission, please provide the name, a resource of their accomplishments (a website, or submitted documented of accomplishments), and contact information for the nominee (phone and/or e-mail). The C & L award winner will be decided along with the winner's confirmation of their availability by mid March.

  • Lou Novak Award - This award is presented annually to a District 6 Toastmaster who has demonstrated excellence in Club Building. Please visit the Lou Novak Award page for more details including a link to the nomination form. Nominations are due by April 1st and should be submitted to District Governor Catherine Rai Cardenuto.

  • Don Murray Award - This award is presented annually to a member who has made significant contributions to the District, outside of his or her own club, while not serving as a District Officer. Please visit the Don Murray Award page for more details including a link to the nomination form. Nominations are due by April 1st and should be submitted to District Governor Catherine Rai Cardenuto.

  • Lorin Pollmann Award This award is presented annually for Excellence in Speechcraft. Please visit the Lorin Pollmann Award page for more details including a link to the nomination form. Nominations are due by March 16 and should be submitted to District 6 Speechcraft Co-Chairs Dennis Feller or Starlett Drader.

  • Spring Public Relations Contest - These awards are presented to those clubs who excel in the area of PR, including best website, newsletter, flyer/brochure, press release/news article and guest packet. You must enter your club in order to be eligible as we don't go searching for you! We know there is a lot of creativity out there, so let's have a record year for entries! Please see the PR Contest page for more details. All entries are due by April 1 and should be submitted to District PRO Diane Windingland.
